Financial Aid Basic Steps
Step One – Get a FSA ID
Visit the Department of Education Federal Student Aid to create a FSA ID at the following link: https://studentaid.gov/
Step Two – Complete your Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)
To complete your FAFSA, visit the following website. You will need to have a FSA ID prior to completing the FAFSA. https://studentaid.gov/
When you are on the FAFSA Website, you will be asked to enter our school code.
The Blake Austin College School Code is: 040033
Step Three – Student Loans
There are different types of loans to help you through college. For guidance you can refer to the official government website to review the various types of loans by clicking on this link: https://studentaid.gov/
Types of Loans
1. Federal Direct Loans (Subsidized & Unsubsidized)
2. Federal PLUS Loan
Step Four – Loan Entrance Counseling & Promissory Note
Before any loan funds can be disbursed you must complete the Loan Entrance Counseling and the Master Promissory Note. To complete these required forms, click the link below and log in using your FSA ID.
